    New corporate headquarters for BBVA in Madrid

    Building architecture designed by Herzog and de Meuron

    Plot of 59,000 m2. The headquarters consists of one vertical and seven horizontal buildings, all interconnected. The vertical building, “La Vela”, is 93 metres high and 16 metres wide, with an oval shape and 19 floors.

    It includes a sports centre, physiotherapy centre, nursery school and parking.

    It has been awarded LEED Gold certification for sustainable construction.
