    The construction project includes a 15-km line, of which 11.8 are elevated and 3.2 km are underground, in addition to the Red Line interchange at the Nakheel Harbour & Tower station. The metro extension will include seven stations, including the Nakheel Harbour transfer hub and the emblematic metro station located at the World Expo site. The highly-complex project includes a 3.2 km tunnel drilled by a tunnel boring machine, a 1.2 km section of open-cut route and nearly 11.8 km of elevated viaduct.

    Eco-friendly, the train is equipped with a full electrical braking system, LED lighting and other innovations to reduce energy consumption.
